I will miss three games by the San Jose Earthquakes while on my cross country trip. Since the end of July when they added Darren Huckerby and Arturo Alvarez they have not lost a game. They have gone from last place to 4th now. Last Saturday they defeated DC United.
The back bone of the team has been their defense and Joe Cannon has done an excellent job as Goal Keeper. They have been playing at Buck Shaw Stadium which gives the fans very close access. At the end of the games the Earthquakes have been doing a great job at thanking the fans for their support. The photo shows Joe Cannon thanking the fans.
I will have to follow the Earthquakes on line to see if they make the playoffs. It would be amazing if they do.
